About the UN-HABITAT Youth Advisory Board

The UN-HABITAT Youth Advisory Board was established at the World Urban Forum IV held in Nanjing China on 1 and 2 November, 2008 and launched at the 22 Second Session of the UN-HABITAT Governing Council in April 2009.

  Francis Anyaegbu

Francis currently serves as the Founder and Director of Youth Pioneers for Development. He is a development consultant with extensive experience in creating; facilitating and managing youth led projects. He has worked with a number of local and International organisations including the British Council, World Bank Institute, Action Aid International, Earth Reformers Foundation amongst others.

Lucinda trained as a Landscape Architect and Urban Designer, She spent two years working in slum communities in Vietnam and Cambodia before launching CoDesign Studio. CoDesign is a non-profit, planning and design enterprise, committed to helping disadvantaged communities to envision, design and implement neighbourhood improvement projects.

He was the president of the Jardim Cristiane Community Association.  He works in the Santo André city government to promote public participation in slum upgrading projects and guarantee quality municipal services in informal settlements.

Returning to Norway two years later, he finished grad school before serving his compulsory military service in His Majesty the King’s Guard. As the current project youth coordinator he is proud to currently be in the International Leadership Training Program with INWENT in Deutschland, especially that he is the Youth Representative of Western Asia. Being a participant in the program was a result of his accomplishments.
