Youth Caravan sets off towards COP 17 in Durban

About 200 youth from Kenya and Norway began a caravan that is going from Nairobi, Kenya and ending two weeks later at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change's conference (COP-17) in Durban, South Africa.

The first African woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize, Wangari Maathai of Kenya, died overnight at a Nairobi hospital. Her organization, the Green Belt Movement, said Wangari had been undergoing cancer treatment. She was 71.
