Institute for Water Education (UNESCO-IHE)  
IHE is focusing its activities on Sustainable Urban Mobility (SUM), which is concerned particularly with urban transport that is both sustainable and practical for the poor. The SUM initiative has been implemented in Kisumu, Kenya with technical support of ITDG and will soon begin in Tanzania.

International Labour Organisation (ILO)  
International Labour Organisation is partnering with the SCP in an employment and skills development programme “Decent Jobs and Better Services for the Urban Poor”. This is a capacity building programme that seeks to improve the living and working conditions of men and women in poor urban settlements in the developing world.
International Water and Sanitation Centre (IRC)  
IRC is developing local capacities for planning and delivering Basic Urban Services (BUS) in un(der) served areas through partnerships. BUS initiatives are currently being implemented in Bobo Dioulasso , Burkina Faso with support of a local NGO, CREPA and in Kotte and Wattala in Greater Colombo, Sri Lanka with the support of a network of local organisations including ITDG, National Housing Development Agency, NERD, SEVANATHA and MaRGG.
Internationale Weiterbildung und Entwicklung gGmbh (InWEnt)  
InWEnt (Internationale Weiterbildung und Entwicklung gGmbh) – Capacity Building International - is partnering with SCP/LA21 to improve urban management capacities in SCP/LA21 project cities through practice-oriented training and exchange programmes.

UNDP's Public-Private Partnerships for the Urban Environment (PPPUE) is partnering with SCP to support efforts of cities to define, promote and implement Public Private Partnerships to reduce poverty at the local level.

The organisation aims to promote environmental understanding, and to increase public knowledge about environmental factors and problems of future generations.
UNEP LAC GEO City site  
The Global Environment Outlook is an urban improvement process focussing on environment in collaboration with the respective municipality, relevant stakeholders, UNEP and UN Habitat. After the city’s environmental state is assessed and the GEO has occurred, UN-HABITAT takes over with its Sustainable Cities and Localizing Agenda 21 programmes process methodologies. In Esmeralda and Loya, two cities in Ecuador this collaboration has already started.
