Malindi Green Towns Movement, Kenya
The project caters for improved livelihoods through income generating activities that add income to the households and good health to allow productivity by all household members.

Sustainable Community Oriented Development Project (SCODP)
The community identifies their problems and resources, and then works with SCODP to formulate solutions. SCODP facilitates the capacity - building of farmers, provides supplies and interprets results from research findings thus increasing understanding of their own farm conditions and what is required to improve them
Information sharing and dissemination
Siongiroi Community Development Organization (SICODO)
The SICODO water security initiative aims to make water accessible to over 11,900 people and their livestock. In addition, provide a clean and reliable water supply to the area schools and dispensaries, and to train the community on the importance of water management.

Mbarara Grape Farmers Association, Mbarara District
Most of the inputs used in grape growing and wine production are from local materials. The land is owned by the farmers and not rented from elsewhere; labor is obtained from the farmers themselves. In addition, the cultivars or planting materials are locally sourced and the poles and wires and nails used for the fixing of the grape plants are locally procured. The manure used to fertilize the plants is produced locally by mixture of animal waste with soil. The bottles used for bottling wine are locally purchased. The use of local materials, farmers’ own land and labor ensures sustainability of the project.
