The report about the Report on the 6th Global Meeting of Sustainable Cities and Localising Agenda 21 Programme Partners, Achieving sustainable urbanization - Innovations for local and global results" is now available.

The 2005 Global Meeting was held in Havana, Cuba from 27 June to 1 July. It gave partners of UN-HABITAT’s Urban Environment Section a useful opportunity to use their collective know-how, exchange experiences, review activities, and discuss how to mainstream Environmental Planning and Management (EPM) into local, national and global policies. The meeting, organized jointly by UN-HABITAT, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) , the Cuban government and Havana City, gathered more than 200 participants - mayors, high-ranking city officials, urban practitioners, central and federal government representatives, urban institutions, heads of international support programmes and representatives of donor agencies.
