Islamic Land Training Successfully Piloted in Malaysia

The International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM), in cooperation with the Global Land Tool Network (GLTN), Training and Capacity Building Branch (TCBB) of UN-HABITAT and University of East London (UEL) successfully hosted an international pilot training on land and property rights issues in Islamic Contexts.

The Global Land Tool Network gender evaluation criteria for assessing the gender-sensitivity of large-scale land tools was recently launched with over 65 participants at a side-event as part of the 22nd session of the UN-HABITAT Governing Council. The event was chaired by Ms. Tubwita Grace Bagaya, a Member of Parliament from Uganda.
