Improved environmental sanitation for Pakistani communities

A two year collaborative project by world beverage giant Coca Cola, the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and UN-HABITAT is set to improve the lives of about 300 inhabitants of two coastal communities in Pakistan.
Improving water delivery in Asia

USAID’s ECO-Asia project, a regional environmental programme based in Thailand, is offering grants of up to USD 10,000 to any private organization, NGO or academic institutions working in countries eligible for USAID that can demonstrate how they can improve water services in the region.
Rain water harvesting systems dedicated in India

Sixteen projects on rain water harvesting have been completed at different schools in the four major cities in Madhya Pradesh, India, under a unique partnership spearheaded by UN-HABITAT and bringing together education institutions, government agencies and corporate bodies.

Inspired leaders who champion reforms can play a key role in helping Asian countries manage their water resources at a time of extreme pressure brought on by rapid urbanisation, climate change, pollution and industrialization, a senior Asia Development Bank official told the Asia Water Day seminar at the World Water Week in Stockholm this week.
UN-HABITAT brings water education to schools in India
