On a visit to Bangladesh, UN-HABITAT Executive Director Mrs. Anna Tibaijuka on Monday appealed to authorities there not to evict slum dwellers but rather resettle them if the land they are currently occupy is to be used for other purposes.
UN agencies worried at poor urban planning, pollution in Pacific countries

UN agencies this week said they were concerned at the lack of progress in addressing planning, housing, sanitation, waste management and environmental pollution in urban areas of countries in the Pacific. They raised the alarm after a series of fact-finding missions.
New envoys from Indonesia and Bangladesh present credentials
