A new strategic partnership on urban mobility

Dr. Aisa Kirabo Kacyira, UN-Habitat's Deputy Executive Director, on Monday 22 October signed an MOU with Mr. Jean Louis Leonard, President the Conference on Urban Mobility in the Developing World(CODATU) to strengthen UN-Habitat’s outreach and advocacy in sustainable urban mobility.

South Sudan mark first World Habitat Day

Clos assures Ethiopia of support in urban planning

The Executive Director of UN-Habitat, Dr. Joan Clos, has expressed the organization’s  willingness to cooperate with the Government of Ethiopia to establish a proactive urban policy and urban planning in the country. Dr. Clos praised Ethiopia for its emphasis on the development of secondary cities in the country, which is part of its decentralization policy.
Twenty four graduate with diploma in urban studies

Japan funds resettlement of displaced people in Somalia

Urban youth fund beneficiaries attend training course

The President of the African Ministers’ Council on Water, Edna Molewa has promised the Council’s support and commitment to join UN-Water, the UN Secretary General’s Advisory Board on Water and Sanitation, UNEP, UN-HABITAT and other partners in organizing the global celebrations of next year’s World Water Day.
