The UN-HABITAT Somalia Programme is keeping a roster of CVs to fill long- and short-term national and international staff positions and consultancies. We are looking for experienced candidates specializing in the areas of expertise mentioned below. Areas of expertise: Local Governance, Land Management, Security of Tenure and GIS, Participatory Urban Planning and Management, Environmentally Sound Urban Infrastructure and Basic Service Delivery, Local Government Finance, Shelter Construction, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction.
Qualifications and experience: Specific requirements depend on the type of position. Experience in post-conflict countries and low-capacity environments is desired. Familiarity with the UN system is considered an advantage.
Languages: Fluency in written and spoken English is required for all international positions. For national positions, fluency in written and spoken English and Somali is required.
Duty stations: Potential duty stations are Nairobi, Hargeisa, Garowe, and Bossaso, depending on the type of position. Travel within the Somali region is required.
