Training Proposal (CLOSED)
The training events at WUF 4 are aimed at providing skill-enhancing training courses to participants of large international meetings. The courses are to be designed with a “how to” approach and an intent to increase specific skills needed to implement sustainable urban development objectives. The courses should relate to the overall theme of the forum and any of the dialogue topics.

The Training Events will run at the main WUF venue in Nanjing from Tuesday until Thursday. They will take place in English, cater for a maximum of 40 participants per course and last three hours. Participants will have the opportunity to register online free of charge. The WUF Secretariat will provide training rooms and training management support. Organizers are responsible for the travel of training facilitators.

We would like to thank all those who sent in proposals for WUF training events. Some 45 applications were received. From these, an impressive array of 24 events organized by 18 international organizations, training institutions and non-governmental organizations were selected. The sessions cover a wide variety of topics, from governance, planning, water and sanitation and housing to land economy and safety.

Online registration for training event participants will start in August 2008.
