The second part of AMCHUD is a Ministerial meeting comprising Ministers in charge of Housing and Urban Development, and Population. The report from the 5th Assembly of the African Population Commission/Experts Group Meeting will provide input to the Ministerial Meeting. At the end of this second meeting, AMCHUD expects to have:

1. produced a report and recommendations from the 5th General Assembly of APC/ Experts Group Meeting on Urbanization, Shelter and Development
2. established a consultative mechanism for African Ministers of Land, Housing and Urban Development (AMCLHUD) under the auspices of the African Union
3. defined an Enhanced Framework of Implementation of Housing and Urban Development in Africa
4. agreed on a common position on Africa’s message to the 13th Session of the Commission for Sustainable Development (CSD 13) and on the Implementation Review of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
