Steve Bradshaw is an investigative journalist for the BBC. He learnt about journalism working for his father's Nottingham News Agency. He edited Granta and the poetry magazine Solstice at Queens' College, Cambridge University.

Steve has made close to 100 radio and TV documentaries from more than 40 countries, including Rhodesia, Lebanon, Rwanda, Northern Ireland, Sierra Leone, and Bosnia. These have included some 50 stories for Panorama over three decades. His most recent Panoramas have caused a worldwide controversy, including two programmes investigating the Catholic church's claims that condoms do not prevent Aids. He also recently investigated unfair trade rules and America's neoconservatives and the case against war in Iraq. His most cherished story was having the opportunity to grill former President Slobodan Milosevic at length about war crimes in the former Yugoslavia. In the 1990s Steve investigated the growing epidemic of drug abuse in the UK, filming Report from Needle Paradise on a Leeds estate. Abroad, he investigated the collaboration between the former French government and the genocidal regime in Rwanda. He also covered conflicts in the Lebanon, Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Sierra Leone and Rhodesia.

Steve has been awarded an Emmy for Investigative Journalism, the Amnesty International Media Award, the International Investigative Journalism Award, the Peabody Award, the Dupont Colombia Journalism Award and the One World International Documentary Award. He is also a member of the Washington-based International Consortium of Investigative Journalists.
