Focal point: Mr. KADHIM, Muhammad Brief description: The meeting will bring together around 50 participants including UN-HABITAT managers and partners on strategic urban planning and management projects and issues in Egypt, Iraq, Libya, Palestine, Sudan. It will take stock, share information and identify challenges pertaining to the current state of urban planning processes, methodologies and applications in the five countries, with an overarching objective of developing an appropriate approach to urban planning in the Arab region. This event is intended to lay the seeds for a future and more comprehensive meeting involving all Arab counties in 2011.
