Building up public institutions is a complex process of evolution and reforms, both for these institutions and for the citizens involved. Sharing this process with other public institutions which have undergone similar processes is key, notably for corporate social responsibility reasons.

One of the key objectives of the Catalan Water Agency (ACA) is to establish partnerships with institutions involved in similar processes. This cooperation usually provides mutual enrichment and ideas to share in the field of resources management. Therefore the Catalan Water Agency is developing a cooperation strategy which aims to reinforce institutional stewardships and to strengthen sharing of knowledge and management experiences.

Goals:
Create a forum, in Barcelona, among public institutions in the field of water cycle management, guided by the experience and knowledge of the Catalan Water Agency.
This first seminar is envisaged as a starting point in a series of events that will enhance the exchange of ideas and:

• Promote and reinforce the democratic governance in the field of water management, sustainability and transparency being the main criteria.
• Build the capacity of managers and technicians of these institutions to implement the changes that they consider useful.

Organization:

• Language: Spanish with translation to English
• The sessions will be held in the Catalan Water Agency headquarters, visits will be coordinated by ACA.
• The Catalan Water Agency will cover the travel expenses to Catalonia, accommodation and logistics during the seminar.
