The United Nations Pavilion welcomed its two millionth visitor last Tuesday. What was to be a stroll through the Expo Park, turned out to be an auspicious day for the 26 year-old Peng Liu from Xuzhou, Jiangsu province who was singled out from the crowd of visitors waiting outside as the two millionth person to visit the pavilion since the start of the Expo.

The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Pavilion, Dr. Awni Behnam, greeted the visitor at the main entrance of pavilion and presented him with a return ticket to New York City, home of United Nations headquarters.

Mr. Peng could not believe his good fortune: "I just came by to see the exhibits and learn more about the United Nations. I've never been to New York. I am just so lucky."

The United Nations pavilion expects that three million people will have passed through its doors by the time the Expo closes at the end of October.
