 The new Permanent Representative of Australia to UN-HABITAT, Ms. Lisa Filipetto, on Friday presented her credentials to the Executive Director, Mrs. Anna Tibaijuka.
Recalling that UN-HABITAT works with 22 Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in Australia, Mrs. Tibaijuka said there was now greater awareness worldwide about the problems of slums and urbanization. Ms. Filipetto noted that “the problems of slums and urbanization are real” and promised to do her best to assist. |
