Norwegian Minister for Local Government and Regional Development, Ms. Aaslaug Haga, this week visited a youth centre set up in the Kenyan capital by UN-HABITAT and the city authorities to help underprivileged young people. Norway helped support the establishment of the One Stop Youth Centre in Nairobi, and well as similar facilities in Dar es Salaam, Kigali and Kampala. Ms. Haga, visiting Nairobi for the twenty-first session of UN-HABITAT’s Governing Council, said she wanted a first-hand look at the centre and to meet some of the young people who use it. |
