The World Bank Institute this week used the occasion of the twenty-first session of the UN-HABITAT Governing Council to launch a new compact disc with multi-media presentations and interviews giving new insights into innovative ways of reducing urban poverty. The new work entitled, "Approaches to Urban Slums: A Multimedia Sourcebook on Adaptive and Proactive Strategies" was developed by the World Bank Institute's Urban and Local Government Programme in collaboration with UN-HABITAT and the Cities Alliance. |
