The Chiclayo project builds on the Sustainable City Project supported by UNDP and INDECI. The project allowed preparing risks maps. The first activity of the project was the preparation of the GEO Chiclayo Report with the support of UNEP GEO City Programme. The report serves as a basis for developing an urban environmental planning and management process supported by the UN-HABITAT Localising Agenda 21 Programme with the aim of revising the outdated Chiclayo master plan (Plan Director) and to address some of the Chiclayo urban environmental priority issues such as urban mobility. |
