The Workshop on Pro-Poor Urban Water Governance was organised by UN-HABITAT in Cooperation of Government of Madhya Pradesh and Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Bhopal. The key objective of the workshop was to bring together primary and secondary stakeholders to discuss and decide on the approach and strategy to be adopted by UN-HABITAT in the implementation of the Water for Asian Cities Programme in Madhya Pradesh. The workshop was attended by a large number of representatives from the Government of Madhya Pradesh, Mayors and Commissioners from the four project cities, academia and representatives from non-government organisations and community-based organisations, international agencies: UN-HABITAT, ADB, the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DfID), Cities Alliance, USAID, professional experts and the media. |
