The objective of the workshop is to build the capacities of local and national government officials in climate change planning and implementation, energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies and urban risk reduction and resilience. The workshop will also seek to promote local-national policy dialogue in Africa for mainstreaming climate change and disaster risk reduction into national and urban development plans and policies.
