The overall goal of this course is to build the capacity of participants in planning for sustainable urban mobility. The task of everyone involved in creating environments where many generations will live is not simply to create a city that functions efficiently. It is also to create a liveable city. Well functioning transport systems are the basis of economic activity, social participation and significant generators of employment and wealth.
The training will provide decision-makers and planners with in-depth knowledge on: Institutional and policy orientation in the field of urban mobility, benefits and implementation of efficient public transport infrastructure and policies and benefits and implementation of walking and cycling infrastructure. |
