Inter-Communal Rural Development Project (IRDP) – Facilitating Partner Services and Baseline Survey Implementation
The Inter-Communal Rural Development Project (IRDP) was created by mutual agreement between the Government of Afghanistan and the Government of Japan to develop the ability of Afghanistan Communities to identify, plan, manage and monitor their own development projects. Through the implementation of inter-communal based development projects, the Inter-Communal Rural Development Project will lay the foundation for a sustainable form of local governance, rural reconstruction and poverty alleviation in cluster communities.

Japanese extends support to Afghan government through UN-Habitat

The Government of Japan last week approved JPY2,187 million (approximately USD23.77 million) of grant assistance to UN-Habitat for its Community-Based Municipal Support Programme in five Afghan cities.
