UN-HABITAT Programme Managers
UN-HABITAT employs Habitat Programme Managers in UNDP offices in some 35 countries around the world to help member States devise new ways of attaining the Millennium Development Goals, especially when it comes to implementing sustainable housing and urban development plans. The main thrust is to help governments translate pro-poor policies into programmes and projects that contribute to the realization of MDG Target 11 – to achieve significant improvement in the lives of at least 100 million slum dwellers by the year 2020.
