The Best Practices Section coordinates the Best Practices and Local Leadership Programme. The Programme shares lessons learned from best practices to ongoing training, leadership and policy development activities. Best practices range from ways of building affordable housing, delivering services such as water, sanitation and electricity or innovative financing for urban development, tax collection, urban planning and management, and virtually every aspect of making our cities more inclusive and sustainable. They are disseminated widely so that governments, local authorities and civil society can exchange information, ideas and introduce innovative changes that have worked well elsewhere. The section is also the focal point for the Dubai International Award for Best Practices. |
